Within Posts, ZERO utilizes the concepts of a "subscriber" and a "responder".

Subscribers are the people who will be notified about the post once you submit it and all activity (comments, close/reopen, etc.) that occurs on the post.

Responders are the people who are specifically assigned to the post and responsible for the closing of the post. When you are assigned to a post as a responder, you are automatically subscribed the post as well, so you will receive notifications about all activity on the post. As a responder, you will also see the assignment show up on your Dashboard assignments list.

The subscriber list can be changed by anyone at any time. If there are 20 people subscribed to a post currently, but you only want to send a notification to one person, then you can adjust the subscribers list first to remove the other 19 people. Then add your comment. This will trigger a notification to only the one individual presently subscribed to the post.

The responder list can also be changed at any time. All changes to the responder list are tracked in the activity history at the bottom of the post.
